Frequently Asked Questions

A: For all programs you will need a bike in good working order, a bike helmet in good condition, and closed toe shoes. Some programs will be designed around a specific discipline of cycling and may have some more specific recommendations or requirements which will be stated in the description of the program/event.

A: A water bottle, cycling gloves and some kind of eyewear (sunglasses) are recommended. Otherwise just make sure your kid(s) are wearing appropriate clothing that they can move in and stay warm/cool (depending on the day’s temperature).

A: Any piece of equipment that is damaged or modified in a way that poses a risk to the participant or other participants/spectators. Examples would be brakes that are removed or not working, accessories added that are sharp, or other loose parts that could fall off. If you’re not sure if something is safe, please bring the bike to one of the local bike shops to have it checked by an expert.

A: Generally, if the city/landowner allows us to use the park or event location than we will be there as long as it is safe to be outside. In the case of severe weather events we will cancel the session. Make-up sessions will be sorted out on a case by case basis.

A: This depends on the program or event. Please inquire with us regarding a specific event or program. However, keep in mind that kids like to have their parents there to watch them learn new skills or compete, so it may be beneficial to your child’s development for you to be there. Also, coaches aren’t able to stay after the event waiting for parents to arrive, so if you do not stay to watch please make sure you are back on time to pick up your child.
